Logistics Head

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services.
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Arrange, plan routes and process shipments

• Arranging vehicle planning to dispatch materials in proper way

• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train logistics team
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
• Comply with laws, regulations and other statutory requirements
• Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met

• Provide daily dispatch details (Allocation details,transportationcost) to accounts department to generate invoice

• Ensure that logistics costs are consistently managed and under control

• Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost
• Coordinate with other departments for timely delivery

• Monthly, Annual and any need based MIS that may be required for any Review.

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management
• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
• Proficient in standard logistics software
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Bachelor / Master Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
